Carnegie Dale: How to Win Friends & Influence People [AUDIOBOOK] [UNABRIDGED]
One of my favorite classic books - now on my iPhone. (*****)
Michael Covel: Trend Following (Updated Edition): How to Make Millions in Up or Down Markets
The concept of catching market momentum in currencies, futures, and equities.
Chip Heath: Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die
This is an addictive, fun, and useful read for anyone who needs to get their point across. In the past, my investor presentations have always been too long. Using the tools in the book, I was able to cut it down in half. (*****)

Hi, thanks for reading my blog. I am the founder and CEO of TakeLessons.com - a company that provides music and voice lessons nationwide to private students, schools, after school programs, and corporate wellness centers.
I like working for TakeLessons because I feeel like I'm making a difference. I get to construct something from scratch, and learn the ins and outs of building a lasting company.
I was influenced young as both my parents and grandparents were recording artists, cutting several gospel albums on the Maramount record label.
Music was never far from me, and as the lead singer for the San Diego-based band, Across the Room, I toured regionally throughout southern California and Arizona.
We released two indie albums - the first cost $15K in a big studio. The second cost $300 in our spare bedrooms. (The second was better than the first).
On the business side, I was a founding employee of a business-to-business internet marketplace for local merchants that went public in 1999 as the 4th highest performing stock of that year.
After that, I served as VP of Business Development at CollegeClub.com, one of the first social networking sites and, in 2000, the 38th largest site on the net with over 8 million unique monthly visitors.
On the consulting side of things, I worked on internet strategy with numerous large corporations including Cisco, Club Med, and Sequenom Biotechnology.
I was the first kid in my family to go to college and graduated with dual degrees in Investment Finance and Human Communications from Eastern KY University.
